Six trial trenches were excavated to inform proposed development on land to the east of Grantham Road, Waddington. The trenches were targeted to investigate a number of anomalies recorded by a prior magnetometry survey (see ELI13130). A ring ditch, likely dating to the prehistoric period, and two ditches likely related to modern agricultural activity were uncovered.
