A programme of archaeological monitoring and recording was conducted during groundworks for the construction of a new access track on land off Tillbridge Lane, Scampton. The groundworks were relatively shallow, and did not penetrate beyond layers of topsoil on the site. A single redeposited sherd of medieval pottery was the only archaeological find of note. {1}{2}
