Description
A programme of historic building survey was conducted to inform the future use and conservation of the Church of St Paul, at Holbeach Road, Spalding. The church was built in red brick with Ancaster stone dressings, to the design of Sir George Gilbert Scott. Construction of the building began in 1877, with the foundation stone being laid by Miss Charlotte Charinton, a major benefactor of church construction in the Spalding area. {1}
