Description

Three trenches were excavated northeast of the present school buildings, covering a total area of 33m squared (25%) of the evaluation area). Trenches 1 and 2 were positioned to investigate anomalies identified earlier by geophysical survey. The work was in advance of proposed development. It was located on the site of the medieval priory of St. Michael. {1}
