A systematic programme of archaeological field walking was conducted to inform proposed residential development on land off Scotton and Westcliffe Roads, Scotter. The majority of the identified material was of relatively recent origin, although a small quantity of unstratified medieval pottery and tile was recovered, along with a single unstratified sherd of late Saxon pottery. {1}{2}
