Description

A fluxgate gradiometer survey was conducted as part of a community archaeology group research project, on land to the north of Lincoln Road, Washingborough. The survey recorded two discrete sites of strong magnetic variation, thought to indicate the locations of buried kilns. {1} Field walking conducted on the site as part of the research project identified large volumes of mid 13th to 14th century tile wasters, indicating a medieval date for the possible kilns.
