Description
A programme of archaeological monitoring and recording was conducted during groundworks for the undergrounding of overhead power lines at the site of St Mary's Priory, Greenfield. Two likely post-medieval ditches were identified, along with the remains of a 19th century brick wall to the south of Priory House. No significant medieval activity was identified, although two redeposited sherds of medieval pottery were recovered. {1}{2}
