Description
A programme of historic building recording was conducted prior to the proposed renovation and change of use of the former Elsam Cross and Co. Printers, 5-6 London Road, Spalding. The building is thought to date to the early 19th century, and is of hand-made brick with a pitched slate roof. It was originally divided into two shop units with residential accommodation in the basement and upper floors. The building has been subjected to only minor alterations, principally when the two shop units were combined to form a single commercial interest. {1}{2}
