Description
An archaeological evaluation was conducted in advance of proposed residential development on land east of Hackthorn Road, Welton. Six trial trenches were excavated, though the majority of encountered features were thought to be natural in origin, and only a single zone of archaeological activity was identified. This included one modern feature and two undated features, thought to be boundary or drainage ditches, dug some time prior to the 19th century. {1}{2}
