Description
A watching brief was conducted by CLAU during the renewal of a water main along the western edge of South Common, adjacent to Cross O'Cliff Hill. No archaeological features were recorded, though a concentration of tile and brick fragments was identified, along with a general scatter of metal artefacts, recovered after the topsoil strip with a metal detector. {1}{2}
