Description

In 1978 an excavation was carried out prior to development at 27 High Street, Horncastle. The aim was to determine the depth of archaeological deposits, and to test the nature of Roman occupation within the walls. A strip 4m wide and 50m long was excavated, revealing a simple sequence of deposits. {1}{2}
