Description

A site visit was conducted to inform the future conservation management of Sneath's Mill, at Lutton Gowts. The mill complex comrises the main tower mill structure, constructed in 1779, and a group of 19th century ancilliary structures to the immediate north. The main mill structure is largely complete and much of the original mill machinery is still extant, although the cap and sails have been removed. No internal inspectation of the main mill building was possible due to health and safety issues. The ancilliary buildings are in varying conditions, with some parts now quite ruinous. {1}{2}
