Description
A rescue excavation and subsequent scheme of monitoring and recording was undertaken during refurbishment of paving and associated landscaping in the town centre of Gainsborough. Seventeen inhumation burials, three disarticulated individuals and a series of walls were revealed, indicating the presence of an extensive medieval cemetery in this area. {1}{2}
