Description

An archaeological watching brief was conducted during the excavation of service trenches in the churchyard of St Peter's Church, Lenton. Previously unrecorded elements of the church foundations were revealed, including two narrow stone-built gullies, thought to have been constructed to reduce damp forming along the internal nave wall. {1}{2}
