Description

An archaeological watching brief was conducted during the excavation of soakaway trenches at St Peter's Church, Lenton. A possible construction surface and a quantity of limestone and clay rubble were recorded, although it was not clear whether these related to the original construction of the church or the 19th century restoration. A small quantity of disarticulated human bone was also identified, but not retained. {1}{2}
