Description
1. 1671 ST MARY'S STREET (South Side) No 30 TF 0307 1/281 22.5.54. II GV 2. Corner 2-storey building in ashlar with oversailing upper storey in stucco, possibly half-timbered. One upper window, double-hung sash with glazing bars in wide opening indicating probably C17 date of house. Modern ground floor in ashlar with one canted bay to left on modern stone base and one canted oriel to right. Late C18 door of 6-panels in wood reveal with rectangular fanlight. Wood eaves cornice. Return frontage in ST MARY'S PLACE. 2 storeys, upper oversailing and stuccoed. Stone slate roof of late C17 date with remains of peak of earlier gable, dated 1605 in plaster. 2 windows with glazing bars on 1st floor. Modern ground floor in coursed stone with modern shop window and door, with sash window to right and basement window. Small extension on slightly lower level on slope of hill. Nos 27 to 40 (consec) form a group. Listing NGR: TF0306807068
