Description
1. 1671 ST MARY'S STREET (South Side) No 27 TF 0307 1/275 22.5.54. II* GV 2. Early C19. 3 storeys in coursed rubble with stone dressings and plinth. Small modillion cornice and low stone parapet which hides hipped roof of stone slates. 2 stone stacks at gable ends. 5 windows in rusticated surrounds with triple keystone, bands continue cills. Double-hung sashes with glazing bars. Central door of 6 panels in plain stone surround with keystone, and rectangular fanlight with 'Gothic' traceried glazing bars. Passage entrance to side has moulded stone cornice and rusticated round-headed arch over plain door of 6 panels. Same type of design as Municipal Buildings, Nos 2 and 3 ST MARY'S HILL. Return front with 4 windows on ST GEORGE'S SQUARE. Nos 27 to 40 (consec) form a group. Listing NGR: TF0314007051
