Description
1. 1671 RED LION SQUARE (South Side) No 6 TF 0207 1/138 II* GV 2. Corner building to St John's Street. Originally probably mediaeval Guild Hall off C15. Originally also jettied along back and underbuilt in stone. Jettied and timber-framed. Rendered, 3 storeys. Rusticated quoins, 2 3-light windows with glazing bars. Small glazed lantern in centre of roof, weather vane. To High Street, remains of C18 shop front with Roman Ionic columns. Tall proportions. Interior feature is traceried window in attic cupboard. Nos 6 to 10 (consec) andPublic Waiting Room form a group. Listing NGR: TF0289807096
