Description
This list entry was subject to a Minor Amendment on 11/04/2017 Name changed from Reading Room Cottage to The Old Reading Room High Street. FULBECK HIGH STREET (west) Reading Room Cottage SK 9450-9550 7/80 G.V. II Cottage, C17 with C19 and C20 alterations and additions. Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings, pantiled roof having a stone coped gable with a low roll finial. 3 bay single storey front with attics. The central C19 rectangular ashlar bay window has a plinth with a 3 light mullioned sash window above beneath a dentillated cornice and a flat roof. In the roof are a single 2 and three light dormers, both C20, with boarded cheeks and flat roofs. To the left is a C20 stair with an openwork wrought iron balustrade. Listing NGR: SK9470150242
