Description
MORTON HIGH STREET TF 0824-0924 (north side) 9/151 No. 35, (Morton House) 30.10.68 G.V. II House. c.1800. Coursed ironstone rubble, limestone ashlar dressings. Hipped slate roof behind high parapet, single tall stock brick ridge and lateral stacks to rear. 2 storey, 3 bay front with central pedimented bay projecting slightly and defined by plain ashlar bands; first floor ashlar band and eaves and ashlar coped parapet. Central doorway with semi-circular head, ashlar doorcase with moulded imposts and scrolled keystone, traceried fanlight and partially glazed door. Doorway flanked by single glazing bar sashes, with 3 glazing bar sashes above, all with ashlar quoined surrounds and raised keystones. Oval in pediment containing foliage and coat of arms.
