BITCHFIELD AND MAIN STREET SK 92 NE BASSINGTHORPE Bitchfield (west side) 2/10 Crown Inn with attached barn G.V. II Public house and barn. Early C17, altered C19. Squared limestone rubble with ashlar quoins. Concrete tile and pantile roofs, stone coped gables and 2 ashlar gable stacks, one external, having paired shafts with moulded cornices. 2 storey, 5 bay front having off-centre planked door with gabled porch supported on timber brackets. To left, 2 three light windows and a blank opening and to right a similar window. To first floor are 3 similar windows and a blank opening. All openings have timber lintels. To right a single storey barn having single breather and 2 blocked doorways, both with timber lintels. Listing NGR: SK9875428812
