Description
CAREBY, AUNBY HOLYWELL SK 91 NE AND HOLYWELL 8/46 Barn at Holywell Hall G.V. II Barn. Early C18. Ashlar, with stone coped slate roof having one hipped end. L-plan. Tall single storey 2 bay front, having plinth and rusticated quoins. Advanced and gabled entry bay having tall double planked doors set in a pointed archway with imposts. To either side are triplets of narrow breathers. Beyond to the right, the hipped end bay contains 2 planked openings having splayed ashlar lintels with keyblocks. The rear doorway has a plain segmental stone head. Staggered butt purlin softwood roof, with arched collars. On the reveals of the inner doorway are inscribed tally marks. Listing NGR: SK9998416137
