Description
SWINSTEAD off MAIN ROAD TF 02 SW (south side) 6/230 Tower Farm House G.V. II Farmhouse. Early C19. Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings. Plain tiled roofs, 2 brick wall stacks with moulded tops. 2 storey, 3 bay front, centre bay recessed, and gabled flanking bays. Plinth and overhanging eaves on stone blocks. Central blocked doorway now containing C20 casement flanked by single paired plain mullioned glazing bar lights. To first floor central C20 casement is flanked by single 2 light similar windows. All openings have plain ashlar surrounds and lintels. To left hand side wall are 2 blank semi-circular headed arches, and to the left hand rear corner is a 3 storey square tower with hipped tiled roof having overhanging eaves supported on stone blocks, plinth, second floor sill band and eaves band. To ground floor are 2 single narrow plain lights, with first f i ular fixed light and second floor single plain casement window, all with plain ashlar surrounds.
