Description
ST. PETER'S HILL 1. 1146 Nos. 2 to 4 (consec) (Formerly listed as Nos. 2, 3, 4 and 5) SK 9135 NW 8/2 8.5.50 II 2. No. 4 includes No. 5. Originally terrace of 4 houses, now in 3 occupations, early C19, 3-storey with basement; front area; red brick; slate roof; ground floor recessed behind 6-bay colonnade of stone Doric columns with projecting hood forming 1st floor balcony with iron railings with standard metal hooded verandah, 4th and 5th bays now filled in between columns; 4 windows, rusticated arches with glazing bars. 3 doorcase with reeded surrounds, panelled doors, fanlights moulded wood cornice at eaves. Nos. 2 and 3 have carved door and matching ingoes, brass knocker. Railings. No. 4 (Norton and Hamilton) - 2nd door has become a window. 2nd and 3rd storeys have rusticated flat stone arch windows, 4 steps. Listing NGR: SK9148235714
