Description

1. 53l2 WATERGATE (North Side ) Nos 2 to l0 (even) TF 0645 1/37 II GV 2. No 2 is the Rose and Crown Public House. Range of mid C18 buildings of 3 storeys in red brick. Pantiles. Stone plinth. No 10 is separate but similar, lower 2 windows to top storey with sliding sashes as others. Round-arched passage entry. Nos 4 to 8 have diagonal-set brick eaves cornice. Windows to top floor have sliding sashes with glazing bars. Brick bands between storeys. 7 windows to range, others hung sashes; ground floor windows boarded up. Small C19 shop window to No l0. Stone plinth. No 2 has been cement rendered. 1 window without glazing bars. Flat-arched yard entry. Right-hand section has parapet. 2 windows. Band between lst and 2nd storeys intact, moulded band between ground and lst floors above modern windows. Rendered plinth. Right section included as part of group. Nos 2.to l0 (even) form a group.
