Description
TF 15 SE BILLINGHAY CHURCH STREET (south side) 5/3 17.4.85 Cottage and outhouse to west of The Golden Cross Public House _ II Cottage. Early C18 with late C18 and C20 alterations. Timber-framed and red brick. Thatched half-hipped roof, covered with corrugated iron sheeting. Single storey. 4-bay. East front wall is a later C18 brick refronting which has been partially re-newed in the C20 with brick and some brieze blocks. Timber posts are visible at the corners and on the gable walls. Off-centre doorway with plank door, flanked on either side by a single 2-light glazing bar sliding sash, beyond to the left is a single fixed light. To the left a late C18 brick outhouse with pantile roof, and a single 6 panel door and a large 3-light glazing bar sliding sash. The Golden Cross Public House is not included in this list.
