Description
LANGTON BY SPILSBY CHURCH LANE TF 37 SE Sutterby (north side) 3/41 Church of St. John the 3.2.67 Baptist II Parish church, disused. C12, C14. Dressed greens tone, some red brick patching. Slate roofs. Nave, south porch and chancel. West wall with single blocked window opening. The apex of this front of brick with moulded ashlar band extending under. The north nave with single C12 round chamfered arched blocked doorway with impost blocks. To the left is a single blocked rectangular window. The east chancel has a single window with 3 trefoil arched and cusped lights under a flat arch, sgmental brick arch over. The south wall has a single similar 2 liqht window. The south nave with single red brick buttress has to the left a single C14 window with 2 arched and cusped lights under a flat arch. Further left is the gabled porch. C14 ogee arched entrance with 2 mouchettes over. Inner chamfered arched doorway. Interior not inspected. Listing NGR: TF3857772408
