Description
SAUSTHORPE LANGTON LANE TF 36 NE (east side) 7/53 Sausthorpe Hall 3.2.67 G.V. II Small country house. Late C18, extended and remodelled 1822. 1822 build of ashlar. Hipped slate roof with balustraded parapet. 4 irregularly dispersed stacks. Moulded cornice. Plinth. First floor and first floor sill bands. Entrance front of 2 storeys, 5 bays. Ionic porch, 3 steps up, with part glazed double door and decorative fanlight. To the left are 2 glazing bar sashes and to the right are 2 similar sashes further spaced. Above are 4 similar smaller sashes. Attached to the left and set back is the C18 build of stock brick with some render. Mansard slate roof. Single stacks to ridge, rear and left. Set on a plinth with a first floor band to the right 2 bays. 2 storeys plus attic, 4 bays. Doorway with glazed door and overlight, to the left are 2 cambered arched glazing bar sashes and further left a single small casement. Above are 2 similar sashes and in the attic 3 box dormers with single glazing bar casements. The west front of 3 bays, the single central bay slightly projects. 3 glazing bar sashes, the single central with rusticated lintel. Above is a single tripartite glazing bar sash, flanked by single glazing bar sashes. The south front of 5 bays, the single left bay projects and has a single similar tripartite sash on each floor, that on the top floor being smaller, both with rusticated lintels to the central opening. to the right are 4 glazing bar sashes on each floor, those of the first floor being smaller. Attached to the right and set back is the C18 build. Listing NGR: TF3869669676
