Description
BOSTON TF3244SE MARKET PLACE 716-1/7/108 (West side) 14/02/75 No.34 and warehouse (Formerly Listed as: MARKET PLACE No.34) GV II Shop and warehouse, 1817 altered C20. Red brick in Flemish bond, with gabled and hipped slate roofs, lined stucco. EXTERIOR: to the Market Place a 3-storey, 3-bay gabled front, with stucco to ground floor, 2nd floor band and brick corbelled gable. C20 shop front. To 1st floor 3 windows. To 2nd floor 2 smaller 2-light casements. Windows have wedge rubbed brick arches. In the gable a blank roundel painted 'ESTD 1820'. To the rear, on the riverside a 5-storey, 5-bay warehouse, with central full-height recess containing loading hatches, flanked by pairs of small 2-light casements. INTERIOR: not inspected. Likely to be the London warehouse established by the Corporation on Packhorse Quay, including offices for pilots and wharfingers. Listing NGR: TF3280944006
