Description
THORPE ST. PETER THORPE BANK TF 46 SW (south side) 3/33 Clarey's Bridge II Road bridge over drainage channel. c.1812 by John Rennie. Red brick with some ashlar. Semi-circular archway with flat band running above. Ashlar coped parapet with sweeping sides terminating in coped rectangular piers. South west section in Eastville; south-east section in Thorpe St. Peters; north side in Halton Holgate. The area was drained and enclosed by the engineer John Rennie 1802-1812. Source: Wright. p.12.
