Description
TF 06 SE NOCTON THE GREEN 5/57 (north side) Nocton School and School Masters House GV II Village School. 1869. Designed by Sir G G Scott. Coursed rubble with ashlar dressings. Slate roof with decorated ridge plate. Cross gable wings to either end, ashlar coped gables with kneelers. Four moulded stacks. Single storey school rooms to east, tall 3-lght cross transom and mullion window, and 6, 2-light similar windows, one widow taller projecting into gable dormers. Two storey masters house, with splayed bay window with cross transom and mullion window. Above 3-light mullion window, with pointed relieving arch, to east lean-to wooden half-glazed porch, with plank door and barge-boarded gable above, small wooden dormer window above.
