Abstract/Summary
Archive for the excavation of three trial trenches, excavated to inform proposed residential development on land off High Street, Scotter. Extensive remains of post-medieval buildings and settlement activity were recorded, including fragments from a late Victorian quarry-tile floor, brick wall foundations and a former cellar. The remains of two hearths, thought to represent former bread ovens, were also identified. Several redeposited sherds of medieval pottery were also recovered during the investigation.
