Description

The archive on a programme of archaeological evaluation, consiting of a single trench, was undertaken on land at Sanctuary, croft Lane, Croft. The work was undertaken prior to a proposed extension of a garage and store, and was primarily to evaluate the potential of buried remains. The excavation revealed a pit in the southern end of the excavation area that contained several sherds of 10th to 15th century pottery was uncovered. No burials were discovered.
