Abstract/Summary
Archive for a programme of archaeological monitoring and recording conducted on groundworks for a new dwelling at 9 West End, Holbeach. A substantial deposit of modern made ground was encountered, formed in part during the demolition of former buildings on the same site. Brick cellar walls and a concrete floor were also encountered. The only feature of any archaeological note was a deep 17th to 18th century refuse pit, containing pottery, bottle glass and clay pipe stems and bowls.
