Abstract/Summary

Archive for a programme of archaeological evaluation comprising eleven trial trenches excavated on land at Anchor Lane, Ingoldmells, to inform the proposed construction of a new housing development. The investigation revealed a large spread of Late Iron Age/Romano-British briquetage with a nearby clay layer containing further deposits of briquetage and shell. Ditches and pits of Medieval date likely related to agricultural or domestic activity were encountered at the northeastern end of the site.
