Abstract/Summary
Archive for a programme of archaeological monitoring and recording conducted during the extension of footpaths, the cutting of a service trench, and the improvement of disabled access to St James' Chruch, Freiston. The top of a possible post-Medieval red brick tomb was encountered to the west of the church tower. Disarticulated human bone fragments were disturbed during the excavation of the cable trench; these were retained on-site for reinterring. Medieval graffiti was recorded on the two pillars either side of the west entrance.
