Archive for a programme of archaeological excavation comprising two trial trenches excavated on land off Norbeck Lane, Welton, to inform the proposed construction of a new dwelling. A drop in the level of the natural geology at the northern end of site was observed, which may represent the southern edge of a hollow way on the same alignment as the current Cliff Road. No other archaeologically significant features, deposits or finds were encountered.
