Archive for a programme of archaeological evaluation comprising twelve trial trenches excavated on land at Abbey Lane, Woodhall Spa, to inform a proposed residential development. A series of undated features were encountered across the site, including a network of narrow, steep-sided ditches that were interpreted as possibly prehistoric in origin. The presence of modern drainage ditches was also noted.
