Abstract/Summary

Report on a programme of archaeological evaluation comprising nine trial trenches excavated on land to the southwest of Tattershall Road, Woodhall Spa, to inform a proposed residential development. Two distinct areas were trenched. Several pits containing late Medieval brick were identified close to the road in the eastern area. A further series of undated pits, ditches and gullies was also encountered. In the western area, an undated gully, ditch and pit were encountered in an area that prior geophysical survey (see ELI14122) suggested may have been the site of industrial activity.
