Author/Originator
Date/Year 2023

Abstract/Summary

Archive for the programme of archaeological monitoring and recording, conducted during groundworks for residential development on land to the rear of 24-26 High Street, Kirton. The remains of three brick-cut structures, thought to be former cesspits of likely early 20th century date, were noted, but no archaeologically significant features or finds were encountered. The structures were cut into a buried soil deposit, which may overlie more significant archaeological features in this area.
