Report on the excavation of four trial trenches, dug to inform the proposed construction of a new poultry development on land at High Dike, Great Ponton. The trenches were targeted to investigate a number of geophysical anomalies recorded by a prior magnetometry survey (see ELI13739). The trenching confirmed the presence of medieval ridge and furrow across parts of the site, but resolved the pit-like anomalies towards the northern edge of the site as a mixture of geological features and modern disturbance.
