Date/Year 2022

Abstract/Summary

Archive for an archaeological earthworks survey undertaken to inform the proposed change of use of land north of Woodside Wildlife Park, Newball, from paddock to carparking. Two distinct patterns of medieval ridge and furrow were identified: eight ridges with flanking furrows were recorded on an east northeast to west southwest alignment, and three more ridges with furrows at the west end of site on a north northwest to south southeast alignment. These respected the edge of the first group, suggesting both were in use at the same time.
