Abstract/Summary
Archive for the programme of archaeological monitoring and recording, conducted during the construction of a new brick buttress and associated underpinning works to the southern churchyard wall at the Church of the Holy Trinity, Sleaford Road, Tattershall. The groundworks revealed a graveyard soil with several disarticulated fragments of human bone, and a late 19th or early 20th century cremation burial contained within a brick cist. The cremation was itself cut through an earlier inhumation burial of uncertain date, and an east to west aligned linear gully, thought to be the remains of an earlier medieval churchyard boundary or drainage feature.
