Archive on the excavation of 16 trial trenches, dug to inform proposed development on land to the north of Willingham Road, Market Rasen. The trenches were targeted to investigate a number of anomalies recorded by a prior magnetometry survey (see ELI13128). Features dating to the 20th century, including several drainage ditches and a large pit, were identified. These are likely related to the adjacent brickworks, but no archaeologically significant features, deposits or finds were encountered.
