House and Heritage is an ongoing project providing details of country houses across the British Isles. The emphasis is not necessarily on the most famous country houses but on those that have quietly faded from society. Over time it is hoped to build up a comprehensive list of country houses with an insight into their glory days and how changes in modern times have affected their status.
