Abstract/Summary

Archive for the programme of archaeological monitoring and recording, conducted during groundworks for new development on land off St Botolph's Crescent, Lincoln. A concentration of ditch and pit features were recorded, from which a large quantity of 13th and 14th century pottery was recovered. A substantial deposit of cattle horn cores and bones was also identified in several of the features, suggesting that possible tanning and horn working industries were active in this area. A small quantity of redeposited Saxo-Norman pottery was also recovered, indicating possible earlier activity in this area.
