Abstract/Summary
Letter regarding a number of trial trenches excavated in 1969, in a field known as Temple Garth, Tealby. Much Romano-British pottery, mainly of the 1st to 2nd centuries AD, was found, suggesting the presence of a nearby kiln site. Further sherds of Romano-British pottery were noted in silt deposits which had been dredged from the adjacent River Rase and spread on the field.
