Archive for the excavation of fourteen trial trenches, dug to inform the proposed construction of a solar farm on land off Heath Lane, Honington. The trenches were targeted to investigate a series of linear geophysical anomalies recorded by a prior magnetometry survey (see ELI12299). The anomalies had been thought to represent a possible former field system of unknown date, but all were proven to be of natural geological origin.
