Archive for the watching brief, conducted during consolidation works to a retaining wall, built against the north bank of Lincoln Castle, behind nos. 41 - 59 Westgate Road. The works involved the removal of material from the front of the wall, which was then repaired. The material was entirely modern however, and no archaeological features were identified.
