Report on a magnetometry survey, conducted to inform the proposed construction of a new electricty substation on land to the north of Boston Road, Kirkby la Thorpe. Extensive magnetic noise caused by modern services was recorded across much of the site, potentially masking archaeological features in this area. The survey did record a small number of magnetic anomalies, however, which were thought to represent the remains of a pit and possible linear features of unknown date.
